| Gathering Plains
These vast sweeps of long grasses are plentiful with prey as well as space for roaming. Pockets of forest dot the landscape. A true neutral ground, anyone can come and hunt here, meet friends{or enemies}, or gather here under a truce.

| Lovespring Falls
Beautiful waterfalls cascade down over rocks into a huge, calm pool, surrounded by forest. Anyone may wander here. It is a good place to find a mate.

| Rock of Dar
A huge monumental rock that juts out over a bay to the far south of the territories. This rock is shaped vaguely like the head of a sabretooth. Its lower reaches are pocked with several small caves, and it is here that ancient relics of the lines that founded cadres here eons ago are stored. There is good hunting in the area around here, and this is also the place where new hunters are brought for their ceremonies and choose their hunt-name.

| Stone Circle
A circle of huge boulders, arranged there in ancient times, mysteriously. No one knows how they came to be here, but this is where medicine cats often go to have their dream-visions and it is also where the leaders of the major cadres of the land go to have their meeting, under truce, once a year, on the full moon in the height of Leaf-grow.

| The Boneyard
The bones of many animals lie scattered in bleached-white piles, here in this dismal place. Many herd creatures come here to die, and because of this, there is usually good eating for sabretooths.

| Blackshade Forest
A thick, dense forest full of danger. Here and ONLY here, now and then you will find a fearcat just waiting to steal away other cats to bring to the Fearhorde as prisoners. Anyone who comes here is asking for trouble!
Any character who enters Blackshade cannot escape if caught by marauding Fearhorde fearcats, even if they ARE a fearcat.

| Powderwhite Reaches {Kieran} |
| Bitterwind Meadows
These alpine fields above tree line grow lush with grass during the short growing season, but the chill winds howl harshly over these places in the long winters.

| Tree Line (2 sub-boards)
Here is where the spruce trees covering the lower altitudes of the Powderwhite Reaches stop short, unable to grow in the cold of these highest places. Mammoths and other grazing animals still live up here, eating the grasses.

This glacier-covered region is white year round. Watch out for avalanches!

| Blizzard Peak
Here stands the highest peak in the land, covered with permanent glaciers. Snow often falls and creates avalanche dangers.

| Crystal Caverns: Home of Blueice Clan (6 sub-boards)
These caves lie at the base of a mountain covered by glaciers. Inside many of them are walls of beautiful crystals. The surrounding territory and its plentiful prey is home to the Kieran sabretooth clan, the Blueice Clan.

| Spruce Forest
Miles of spruce forests blanket these slopes, dotted here and there with aspens. A beautiful and plentiful region for both hunting and living.

| Sunning Rocks
Broad, flat stones weathered by time lie here surrounded by spruce forest and alpine meadows. Prey such as mountain sheep, mountain goats and deer roam here. The rocks are great for warming yourself on a sunny but cool day.

| Charwood Meadows
Forest fires cleared the pine forests that once stood here, and meadows took their place. In some areas, the charred corpses of lodgepole pines stand sentinel over the lush greenery that has taken their place.

| Shady Rocks
Steep cliffs and high rocks provide places to shelter from sun, rain and snow. Prey often wander here.

| Chasm
Huge steep cliffs border this gorge. A crystal clear lake lies at the bottom.

| Hot Springs
Hot springs bubble up creating a nice hot pool to bathe in. The region is populated by deer, goats, sheep and bison.

| Aspen Woods
Lush stands of aspens dominate the forests in this lower-altitude region of the Morlock Mountains. Many large prey species make it home, such as mammoths, mastodons, forest camels, deer and moose.

| Firstroot Forest {Kieran, Rillan, Swiftcats} |
| Open Fields, Woods and Copses
Many years ago, fires burned down most of the forest here, leaving a patchwork of woods still standing. The rest of the area became lush with grass and young trees. Various prey species can be found here.

| Gnarled Tree
An ancient tree tumoured with knots and gnarls. Toadstools grow around its roots. This tree and the forested land surrounding it is a favourite place for toothlings to train.

| Nettle Woods
A region of rather thick forest. No mammoths can be found here, but giant ground sloths, deer and others make their home in this place. Beware, though: many parts of these woods are choked with stinging nettles.

| Great Oak
In a vast meadow surrounded by forest grows a solitary huge oak tree. A stream also flows through these fields. The terrain in this region is a blend of fields, streams and forests.

| Forgotten Forest
Deep in the heart of Firstroot lie woods that only tunnel-like trails can penetrate. The trees here grow close, and in many places almost no sunlight gets through. Large prey can be hard to find in this area, but there are several streams and pools that forest prey tend to gather at. Good prey include giant moose and giant beaver.

| Death Canyon
Sun-baked cliffs border both sides of a deep canyon. A trickling river flows through the bottom and goes dry part of the year.

| The Spires
Giant towers of red rock rise up along the slopes of desolate mountains. No one knows how these strangely-shaped rocks came to be, but this region is populated by sheep, goats, camels, and giant armadillos, all good prey if you can catch them in their cliffside wanderings without falling to your death.

| Mastodon Graveyard
Huge bones litter the floor of a long gorge between desert mountains. Mastodons have been coming here to die for eons. The nearby area also supports scrub and juniper and some prey wanders here.

| The Great Arch
A huge red sandstone arch formed from wind erosion rises up along one of the peaks of the Badlands mountains. This landmark is surrounded by other formations made by eons of wind and water erosion wearing at the red shale. Mountain deer, sheep, goats and camels make this place home. Giant armadillos also wander here and are good prey if you can flip the two-ton beasts over to attack their underbellies.

| Scorched Plains
Scruffy bushes are most of what grows over these dry, desolate hills. Prey still manages to eke out an existence here over the cracked, sandy ground.

| Everfield Downs {Kieran, Rillan, Swiftcats} |
| Rolling Hills
These hills ripple for miles and miles, in a beautiful undulation of waving green grass. Just about every large grazing prey animal you can think of roams here. They tend to gather around a large lake, where there is fresh clean water available. Here and there small stands of trees dot the landscape.

| Windswept Knolls
Herds of woolly mammoths, giant bison, camels and horses roam over these windswept knolls that overlook the lower downs around them. The undulations of the downs as well as the tall grass provide good hiding places, but there is little cover out here.

| Tallgrass Prairie
The grass grows over six feet high in many places here, making it harder for all but the biggest of cats to see over it. Many bird species as well as large prey animals roam here. Giant bison, camels, horses and woolly mammoths can be found here.

| Strip of Forest
A narrow line of forest snakes its way through the downs. Mastodons and deer often come here to browse the branches. In the fields surrounding it, horses, giant bison and camels graze. All ripe for the hunting!

| Serpentine Stream
This long, deep stream winds and twists its way through a flatter portion of the downs, where the land becomes almost completely flat in some places. The usual herds of mammoths, horses and bison make for good hunting. Because the land is almost featureless, there is nothing to stop the wind from blowing fiercely over the grass.

| Endless Plain--Home of the Endlessplain Swiftcat Clan (4 sub-boards)
This plain is like its title suggests, a completely flat land spanning horizon to horizon. Here and there stands a lone tree, or maybe a stand of trees. Here the Endlessplain Swiftcat Clan makes its home.

| Thousandlake Marshes {Rillan, Swiftcats} |
| The Thousand Lakes
Mammoths, horses, bison and other plains-loving species roam here, making excellent hunting in this completely flat land. The land is pocked with dozens of ponds, giving it the name Thousand Lakes. After heavy rains, the ponds and streams overflow and flood the land.

| Tar Pits
Lush, young forests alternate with meadows, ponds, and a few tar pits, which are hidden by a thin coat of leaf litter. The hunting is great here in this varied landscape, but getting trapped in a tar pit is certain death.

| Great River
This wide, sluggish but clear-watered river flows lazily through the marshy wetlands. Many birds nest and fish here. The region is also home to prey species such as bison and moose as well as mastodons.

| Twolegs Tribe Home Area
Out here, where the Everfield Downs turn into the marshes, lies a mostly dry-ground area lush with grass and occasional stands of forest. Twolegs make their home here although they often roam from place to place. Horses, bison, mammoths, camels and deer are plentiful for hunting, but dangers abound here too, in the form of the twolegs' hunting parties, as well as giant bears who are your rivals for food!

| Cypress Swamp
Small islands of land and tall cypresses stand up out of the alligator and snake-infested shallows. Some prey can be found here, but beware the hidden dangers!

| Open Wetlands
Reeds and cattails grow tall here, alternating with shallow water. Several streams cut through the wetlands.

| Silvermist Jungle {Rillan} |
| Middle Meadow
Fields of mid-height grasses stretch on and on, surrounded by jungle. Large and small prey come here to graze and drink from the stream and lake in this beautiful place.

| Great Fallen Tree (1 sub-board)
A giant tree was struck by lightning and fell here many years ago, opening up a clearing. Over time the log has hollowed out. A good if small shelter, and the region around it is good hunting.

| Tiny Lakes
This region has several small lakes and ponds spread throughout it. Prey animals big and small often come here to get a drink or a bath.

| Large Cave {Owned by Bloodshadow Clan} (6 sub-boards)
This large cave system has an underground lake and river. There are several entrances from aboveground to get into these caverns. The land above is standard jungle, full of prey and a good place to hunt and live. But belowground in the caves there are said to be strange, pale creatures who have never seen the light of day...
These caves and the surrounding jungle are the territory of the Rillan sabretooth clan, Bloodshadow.

| Golden Savanna
Tall grass ripples in the wind and turned golden during the dry season. Mastodons, wooly rhinos and other large prey come here to graze. Excellent hunting for sabretooths.

| Fishing Lake (1 sub-board)
A large lake full of fish, some of them big. Several streams feed this lake and tumble down several series of small waterfalls. At certain times of year, fish swim from the lake up these streams to spawn in the thousands. Just about anyone can catch an easy meal at this time.

| Glowing Hollow
Here in this deeper part of the jungle, trees grow large and close, and phosphorescent fungi flourish. Their greenish light casts a hazy glow over the hollow. These fungi grow in many places throughout this area.

| Twolegs Tribe
A tribe of twolegs makes its home in this part of the jungle. They are tasty if you can catch one unawares, but beware their weapons, their long memories, and their vengeance. There is also a place full of carrion where the twolegs dump their leftovers.

| Bamboo Grove
Stands of bamboo grow densely throughout this region. A river and its tributaries also run through this deeply shaded part of the jungle. In many places the waters roar white with turbulence.

| Deep Jungle
Huge mastodons, giant ground sloths and other powerful prey roam the depths of this jungle. This land is attached to the lands north of it, Silvermist, by only a narrow isthmus. The fearcats prowl these deep, secretive forests.

| Sweeping Savannas
Interspersed with rainforest are large stretches of savanna. They are home to mastodons, toxodon, giant camels, giant flightless birds{terror birds--watch out for them!} and many others. Excellent hunting, but only if you can handle prey that can put up a serious fight for life.

| The Moors
A mist often hangs about these clearings. It is usually cloudy or rainy, and the land is thus very green. Nevertheless it can be a gloomy place. Since there are lots of plants, there are lots of herbivores, such as mammoths and giant ground sloths, that live here.

Wolves roam the temperate lands south of Shadeverte. Dire wolves as well as wolves of other kind. You can play any kind of wolf on these boards!

Openwood is a region south of the Hollow Mountains, a temperate region with heavy rainfall most of the year. It is lush and green and home to just about any species of deer, including the fearsome, towering yet elusive Diredeer. Because of all the deer the land is also home to many predators.
You may RP a fearcat, swiftcat, wolf or deer of any species here. {For now, Diredeer are off limits and for staff only. Depending on the plot, this may change.} Yes, these are the only boards in Knifetooth where you can RP as a deer!
